About the Event

The number of older adults in the U.S. is rising and is expected to double by 2030. This training event will enhance social work practice by presenting invaluable information on navigating life transitions in later life, as well as ways to support older adults and their families through these transitions, thus meeting the need to provide effective and evidenced-based interventions to this rising and vulnerable population. 

  

Presenters: 

  • Michele Ellicks: Community Outreach Coordinator, Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Registration of Motor Vehicles – since 2000.
  • Mary Curlew: LICSW, Community Education and Training Specialist, Jewish Family & Children’s Service
  • Robin Newma: OTD, OTR/L, CLT, CDRS, Clinical Assistant Professor, Boston University Sargent College, Department of Occupational Therapy
