This training will provide a comprehensive look at how Adverse Childhood Experiences, ACE's impact neuro and emotional development and how that plays into the larger role of overall health.
Presenter: Dr. Paul Foxman
Dr. Foxman is the founder and director of the Vermont Center for Anxiety Care in Burlington, Vermont. He holds a B.A. in psychology from Yale University and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Vanderbilt University and specializes in anxiety disorders in children and adults.
Upon taking the course, attendees will be able to:
- Identify specific goals and strategies for effective trauma recovery work.
- Identify childhood adverse experiences known to negatively impact mental and physical health.
- Name three goals for trauma recovery.
- Understand what effective strategies exist to improve trauma recovery outcomes
