Overview of Personality Disorders

This course will help the every-day social worker to recognize the behaviors of people living with personality disorders in order to have a basic awareness of the motivations driving the behaviors. Participants will be able to understand more about these behaviors and how to best meet the needs of these individuals.
Presenter: Dr. Malcolm Horn
Dr. Horn is the Director of Mental Health Services at Rimrock Foundation in Billings Montana.
Upon taking the course, attendees will be able to:
- Identify the DSM-5 criteria for personality disorders and the behaviors behind the criteria
- Understand the etiology of personality disorders
- Have foundational skills/knowledge to work with this population.
